Funding Types

We fund capital campaigns with a minimum of 70% raised and equipment projects or purchases that provide for long term sustainability for the organization. Please review the FAQ page for more eligibility details. The foundation does not fund program support.  If you are an arts or youth related arts organization in King or Pierce County, please reach out to ArtsFund as the foundation provides support for their grantmaking efforts to serve this geographic areas.  Unfortunately, we do not provide grants to school foundations.

Norman Archibald Charitable Foundation also supports a limited number of nonprofit organizations with Core Support grants. These grants are normally funded annually over an extended period of time. Changes to these organizations are infrequent. Core Support Grants are by invitation only.

Please note that Core Grant recipients are not eligible to apply for a regular grant cycle.

Grant Timeline

The Foundation runs a quarterly grant cycle. Applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis. Grant cycle deadlines for 2025 listed below. Applications are due by the end of the day.

2025 Grant Cycle Deadlines:

  • Quarter 1:
    Application Deadline: Monday, March 3, 2025
    Application Review: Wednesday, March 12, 2025
  • Quarter 2:
    Application Deadline: Thursday, May 29, 2025
    Application Review: Wednesday, June 11, 2025
  • Quarter 3:
    Application Deadline: Monday, September 8, 2025
    Application Review: Wednesday, September 24, 2025
  • Quarter 4:
    Application Deadline: Friday, December 1, 2025
    Application Review: Wednesday, December 10, 2025
